Vancouver Island Women’s PPE Grant

This grant was founded by The Vancouver Island Construction Association, who proudly serves members of the construction industry on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, and other coastal communities in British Columbia.

This grant works to help ensure that finances do not stand in the way of women (including transwomen), nonbinary construction workers, or students from starting or continuing their careers in body-appropriate clothing and PPE. To apply, submit a paragraph describing how women are changing the construction sector. You could win $500.00 towards your workwear!

Successful applicants must be one of the following:

· An Individual working in construction on Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands, or another coastal community in British Columbia.

· A trades student at Camosun College, VIU or North Island College

· In a construction foundations program or Level 1, 2, 3, 4 of a construction apprenticeship

· Continuing their studies in construction

· Anyone in the construction industry

The VICA Bursary Program awards twelve bursaries of up to $500 during each calendar year.

· Applications due Dec 15th

· Successful applicants will be advised of the award by Jan 30th
